help please! IHRA roll cage specs.. and Knife edge crank in 600+hp car good or bad?
OK few questions for yall.. just to get an idea of what is goin on..
FIRST..
IHRA roll cage specs...
What type of metal?
Weld points to chaise?
any info will help!
SECOND...
Knife edge crank ..LS crank in GSR block...
is it GOOD or BAD or.. undecided if its best to knife edge a crank going into a car aiming for 600+hp?
Will this make the crank weaker?
Will it help in turbo spool?
will it take away from over all power??
pros, cons.. anything! thanks!

im not crazy about knifedging, Honda designed distributed weight into the crank to reduce Vibes at high RPM. You can do it, it deffinitely reduces weight on the rotaing assembly, but with a turbo car i think its unnessary, where all your going to gain is parasidic HP. All Motor
If you decide to do it anyway, deffinitely throw a harmonic balencer on that bitch

i have been ruuning my car with a knife-edged crank for over 2 years with no problems
no problems with mine, granted its only been in there for about 15 runs and a few hours of tuning.
