ITR crank Pulley dampener Cracking. Not a lighter pulley question.....
I was changing my timing belt and water pump. Different story...
When I pulled off the Crank pulley, I inspected it, as should everyone do anytime anything is being disassembled. I notice the Dampener is cracking, looks much like a suspension busing when it gets old. Separation along the edge where the rubber meets the metal.
I did not have a camera with me yesterday, but I will take it off again today and take a picture.
Any ideas?
I'm pretty sure I should replace it, but just odd.
Background information:
Auto-X for the last 3 years at 70K + miles on the motor. Never overheated or anything out of the ordinary.
Thanks
