Default got problems!!!

okay, i have a d16a6 and i just put a brandnew battery in it, then put it in the garage for the night, i then took it out around 18 hours later and the battery was dead again, i dont know what could do this, and when posting your replys, remember that i am new to the import scene, but i ran the test where you take the positive end off of the battery while it is running, to see if the alternator would work, and it did, but i dont know what the hell i am doing, please please please if you have any ideas post them, o-yeah and it has no stereo meaning bare wires, could that do it?
thank you

charge the batt up again start the car make sure it starts then turn the battery off and check the volts see if there is any draw on the battery, then check for any wiring that isn't stock

If you have any bare wires go through and at least cap off any hot wires.

I would also agree theres a draw somewhere. recharge your bat. when you park it, hook up a multimeter and see if the volts fall steadly.

since youre new to the scene, you probably dont have a multimeter, so id just pull a different fuse out every time you park the car for a long time, until it starts the next morning, then you know that is the circuit drawing the voltage. then work from there.

charge the battery and then check it, it should have around 12.6 or higher than start it. it will go down. but if does not go up then you have a bad battery and it wont hold a load

you could also use an ammeter to see how high the drain is, but if it dies overnight, its already a pretty high drain.

Possible short, or bad relay.

Amp meter would be a good thing.. remember to test in series for current and parallel for volts
