How high do you rev your ITR on a track?
I already know that ITR's are very reliable when used on a race circuit. How high do you rev your ITR on the track? Can I go all the way to the rev limiter in each gear? Or do you rev your ITR a bit lower just to be safe?
My current reving on a track is evident from this video from our local track: http://www.veit.cz/video/itr_track.avi

I try to keep revvs under 8200ish, just precautionary.
However, if I have to stretch the gear in a corner, I have full confidence in shifting at redline.
R blocks are very stout and can handle 9000 no problems. As long as you keep your oiling system working I don't see why you should stay away from redline.

As noted above, there is some tachometer error. And, when you've got the accelerator to the floor, the revs are climbing pretty fast, so it's not uncommon to be off by a couple hundred RPM from where you're trying to shift.
I try to shift at redline (8400 RPM indicated on the tachometer, whatever the actual RPMs are), in every gear, whenever accelerating.
I don't let it hit the rev limiter. Not intentionally, anyway. That would upset the balance of the car too dramatically (same thing as suddenly lifting off the accelerator).

I go to about 8K most of the time.
Going any higher just increases the risk of something ******* up and really doesn't make the car go that much faster

it's the only way to go.

2 Saturdays ago at Gingerman, I kept it in 3rd gear going into T1. 9000 rpm indicated (or VERY close to the fuel cut of 8650). I only fuel cutted twice. More importantly, zero oil consumption.
Most importantly, no parts came flying out of the engine bay.
