Default d16y8 swap in obd 1

i know this info. has been covered. im searching right now for all my answer's. I cant find the exact answers im lookin for though..
OK, so my girlfriend bought a 92 civic dx, it has a d15b7 and the rings are ****, it smokes, I found a d16y8 for 200 bucks from a local buddy. i know its obd 2 and i have an obd 1 car, Would i be able to use my stock obd 1 engine bay harness or will i need to convert the whole thing over to obd 2, also do i need to get a obd1> obd2 conversion wiring harness for the ecu? and i will need to run the d16y8 ex ecu?

im sorry, i know this has been covered. i just can seem to find all the exact info im looking for, if u have any use full links please post them. thanks again.

Run the B7 distributor, and P28...run the wires for VTEC. It should be just fine. If you have problems with the injectors, just use the B7 intake manifold/injectors.

thanks dustin, what about the sensor's that are on the d16y8 , and the d15b7 dont have,
For example, the d15b7 has a FITV, and the d16y8 doesnt, or in its place there is a sensor...

use the y8 manifold, and the d7 injectors.....

you won't have to wire the knock sensor, just use a p28 from a 92-95 ex/si...it's a single cam vtec, but doesn't have a knock sensor to wire up, so it won't look for one.

also, if you could find the wiring harness for a 92-95 ex/si that will help make the wiring a lil' easier for ya.

Basically if the sensor isn't on the OBDI motor then the OBDI ecu won't be looking for it, don't hook it up, no code no problem. There is no knock on a P28 so don't worry about that either.

well i have the same thing as ur saying, i have a 93 hatch with a d16y8 too, i use a p28 and a 95 ex hardness, i use the y8 injector, rewire the y8 injector with the 95 ex hardness injector and just wire the vtec wire to ur ecu, and dont worry about the sensor, for my it run pretty good in the 1/4 miles, did a 14.7, if i have some pics ill post them up too.
