need wiring help to finish up d16z6 swap
Hey all -
Trying to put a d16z6 full engine in my 89 crx si, im getting close! Going full OBD1 since I had z6 dizzy, intake, etc. Trying to update my Si wiring harness to work. Waiting for my p28 and conversion harness to arrive. I have a couple wiring things that need completed:
My si engine had a 2-prong plug thing near the oil filter that had a rubber boot thing over it. I dont see this on the z6. Is that not used anymore?
What is the new MAP sensor and EVAP arrangement? Si is on the firewall, but I think the z6 has it right on the intake. Not sure how to connect wiring and vac lines?
Theres a new ECT engine coolant sensor I need to deal with (left of the dizzy)? Or does that get explained with all the vtec stuff with the ecu conversion?
I think thats it for now. Of course there was more wiring than I expected.
I did manage to get the old OBD0 injector plugs to connect to the new OBD1 injectors with a little work. And I de-pinned all the grey plug dizzy wires and matched them back up using the old Si beige dizzy plugs. I mashed the z6 dizzy two-pin connectors with a hammer and they fit into the old plug as well. I think im gonna document this all for everyone when its finally done.
Thanks.
