not sure what this is but it's broke

i need to identify this

it is parallel to the driver side axle and i think it connect to the rod or pole that run up into thew steering wheel, but not sure. car drives fine but steering sticks from time to time.

Car is Ek hatch sohc

aggreed. You should be able to get a reman from O'reilly's or any other parts source, maybe even check a salvage yard.. I wouldn't drive the car like that, you're lucky you haven't completely lost steering yet. But if it does go out and you're in a wreck, you're fucked.

i figure it was the steering rack made it 300 miles lol on a move, but thanks i'll find one and do a tech for it.

is there a how to install a steering rack? ( searched )
