I think I'm going to buy a civic hatchback with a manual transmission and I was just wondering when did Honda start putting power steering in them. I talked to this one guy and he said they started in 98, but that seemed a little late to me.

92 im pretty sure for the civic at least.

yea but you really dont need it civics are light so its not that hard at all to drive with out it not all models came with power steering though i took mine out and now i dont even notice it but when i drive a civic with ps it seems so easy.

 

Started in '92, I think. I believe the CX models were the only ones without power steering.
