i just bought a 05 civic lx and when i take it up to 70-75ish my car whistles. according to the civic brocher, the 02-05 civics are more aerodynamic than any of the past generation civics. ive owned a civic from every genration except prolly the 1st but i never had this problem. do u guys have the same problem? have u pinpointed where or what is causing it? i wonder if adding a lip would help reduce the problem?

I have an 02 and it doesn't whistle.
Couple of questions
Where are you hearing it whistle
Is your window closed all the way

 

the windows are closed all the way and i know its not coming from the window area. more like the left front of the car. its kinda anoying now that i know its there, i hear it all the time.

 

Try adjusting your hood. Sounds crazy I know, but mine whistled for a while, I adjusted the hood clearance and it stopped.

Also check the black plastic piece around the windshield wipers, see if it is cracked or pulled up.
