Default Will a new exhuast housing increase my downpipe size?

I have a turbo that is kinda small, but i want to run 20psi-ish AND i want it to spool fast.

Right now the downpipe is 2.5" to 2" and i want to know if i can get a bigger exhuast housing to hook up a 3" downpipe?

Also what stops a turbo from being able to run 20psi-ish? Is it purely backpressure?

cant just about any turbo spin to 20psi or so... but isnt it the efficiency at that rate which is the factor? aka..no power... some people LOOSE power by running too much boost...

what is the decifing factor in the loss?

I mean is it becuase exhuast is too small, or is it just the turbo's fault?

I have an engine built for turbo and a DRAG T3 (i think) kit, yet H-T says it cant spool 20psi? I wanna know why

Because it is out of its effeciency range. The air that it would be blowing out would be so hot that it would adversely effect the engine.

The colder, and denser your air the better. Once a turbo goes out of its effeciency range, the air temperature rises significantly.
