Default msd sci not working???

hey guys, alrite this is how it went. i installed the msn sci (baught used) along with a blaster 3( used) and a msd cap (brand new) to my d16z6. i followed the instructions on the msd site. my car cranks, i hear it almost starting...but it dont. please tell me whats wrong, or is it just that the sci is broken? if the sci or the blaster coil is broken will it even crank like that? or is it something else. any info would help.

Yea...just check all your wiring...especially the one in the dist. cap since its ran off of a external coil...

it says on the msd site that i would need a .6 ohm resistor for the positive wire for a coil to cap hook up... is that true or can i just hook it up no problem?

No, No resistor is needed. When I first bought my msd sci I installed it correctly on my 90 accord and it wouldn't start, and it really isn't a complicated install but I was like what the ****??? So I had a guy how works at a colision shop, who also races at a local track for fun look at it. So we tryed his msd 6al box and it worked fine. So I said no way is this box bad, its brand, brand new. So i called msd and they said to send it in for repair. So i sent it in and after 3 weeks they sent me a brand new one. So it could be the box or your doing something wrong. But if you say your reading the instructions, then it must be wired correctly, because like I said it isn't hard, but maybe you bought a bad box! I also installed one on my civic and my friends civic. I really don't have and answer for you but, just wanted to share my experience.
