i hooked up my oil feed and tried running it while it was off the turbo to see how much it flowed and it flowed a shitload just didnt look right for somereason... how much is too much flow?
It's the pressure you should be worried about. IIRC turbos only need about 30-40 PSI of oil pressure. I believe the sources that we tap for our feed lines go as high as 60-80 at close to redline.
A lot of people will say if you run a 3 AN size feed line you will be fine. But I think it's a good idea to run an oil restrictor which will limit the amount of oil pressure that goes to the turbo. Like I said, the oiling sytem in your average VTEC car gets about as high as 6-80 PSI, or somewhere around there. A turbo only needs 30-40 PSI of oil pressure, any more pressure and the oil seals in the turbo will fail (oil in the intake/downpipe).

atpturbo.com sells them, you just screw it into the turbo oil inlet, and the feed line attaches to it.

stealthmodeperformance.com sells adjustable ones, but if you dont know how to adjust it, then it is possible to have the oil pressure too high or too low.
