I have had the same problem with a brand new turbo and a used turbo but I know that its still good cause its like 1 month old and I took it off my good friends car that was running great. The problem that I am having is when I go into boost I have lots of smoke comming from the exhaust. my question is do I have to much oil going into this turbo I have a turbonetics t3t4 and at 3-4000 rpm's my oil pressure is 85psi I am only at 6 pounds off boost. And the motor never smoked before.

What size is your oil feed and return line? Oil feed should be a -3an and the return should be a -10an with no kinks. Otherwise you might wanna try a restritor in the oil feed line.

oil feed is 4 an and the return is a little over 5/8 with no kinks nic n smooth I had to redo it the first time but ive seen my oil pressure gauge hit 85 psi I think that this maybe my problem or maybe possitve cranck case pressure I really don't know.

It depends on the turbo itself... some have internal oil pressure restrictors and some don't...

My turbo doesn't have one internally so I use an oil restrictor fitting. I've heard that the turbo shouldn't see more than 25psi max or the seals will start leaking...

I can't remember the numbers exactly but I'm sure someone else knows more than I...

I don't think that this turbonetics has a restictor at all so could this be my problem? has anyone cured this problem that I am have by using a restrictor?
