Default Heating crank pully bolt

will this hurt my engine at all? had a helluva time trying to get it off last night with no avail. asked my friend said it would do more bad than good, but i though id rather try to heat it and get it out than have it break it off in the crank

opinions?

never used air tool, due to lack of a powerful compressor (120 psi )

was using a big ****** bar and a 2 inch nut with re-rar welded to the side and a bar on that to hold the crank. bent the re-bar around like a candycane.

should i worry about the crank pully bolt breaking off in the crank?
