Default Type S oversized pistons- hone or bore???

im debating on getting os pistons or standards, but if i do get os pistons will the machine shop hone to .25 over or bore to .25 over??? i have read some threads on this but i couldnt find an exact answer weather or not they will just bore or hone. And i was told it would run me $2000 to bore just to .25 over.

well if the pistons are .25 over you have to bore unless your block was rebuilt before and has been bored oversize already....

if you get os pistons you need to bore so they fit, and then hone (cross hatch on the walls) which help to seat and seal rings.

you should still hone even if you go standard.

I did this exact setup. To bore 10 over is like too small, or atleast the guy who did my setup said it wouldn't be worth it to bore it. He honed it out instead.

I also checked with Tempest Racing and Dynamic Motorsports, both shops saying they wouldn't bore FRM because it screws it up. I didn't ask about the honing at that point, but from all I learned researching (plus the helms instructions) it would be honed out, not bored.
