Hello fellow Hondaers I just bought a 93 civic si. My best buddy has a 1998 Mustang I know he has Exhaust, a differnt intake manifold and i think a short shifter. He is a good friend of mine but he bashes me alllll the time about my car and how he would muder me. I have some cash but not enough for a turbo or anything, what can i do to beat him and rub it in his face, if it helps i think he runs like lows 14s maybe high 13s

To beat mustangs isnt hard at all i mean hell any form of abusing animals be it dogs cats even horses is pretty simple.

what kind of mustang? GT? mod for mod his car is going to kill you. If you dont have money to spend for a swap your screwed. no replacement for displacement.

NOS would probly be your only chance. you will probly beat him once. then thats about it cause your motor will be dead.

Only place your going to beat him is passing the gas stations. If he starts talking smack till him you'll race him for MPG hehehehehe

your gonna need a swap, or a turbo on the motor you got. not even the most expensive JDM parts will get you into 14s

yup, he's one of the few that call people on transgressing the rules... like.. how to make this car beat that car... ... i could have sworn there was a rule JUST for this lol....

I raced one with a bad driver and beat him in my 4 door DX and all I have is an intake. Mines and auto too. They think cuz they have a mustang they are awesome. to FORD

 

yea i use nos before you can probly be dam close to beating him if you completly gut your car i mean just install a tach and take out the dash and every thing else. only leave the drivers seat. get a 75 shot for your car (make sure its the full throttle kind) then get a full ehaust and chip your ecu 3* timing back and get a step colder plugs. and you mite want to get slicks or just set tire pressuses to 5psi im not kiding. you should beat him hopefully if you can drive. all this can be done for probly like 600-700 take of header and test pipe looking at 500ish just buy used nos kit and get an ebay stainless exhaust. trust me this should be really close to him if he runs low 14s high 13s

What the hell? For 600-700 You can make a very nice Homemade Turbo setup. Sheesh.
