Is my Insurance company going to hassle me?
Well I've pulled my car out of storage for the winter and I want to get full coverage again (I only kept fire and theft coverage for the winter since it wasn't being driven).
I went to my insurance agent last week to put my full coverage back on and they tell me they need to "inspect" the vehicle before they can reinstate full coverage.
This makes me nervous as my car is gutted from the front seats back, has a 4-point roll bar, nitrous bottle, etc (it's a modified Civic, you get the idea). Is it worth it for me to pull all that **** out and put my stock interior back in? Do I risk getting dropped if they see what's done to the car? Anyone have any experience w/ this type of situation? If I would've known I was going to have to get inspected I would've left the full coverage on the car.
Edit: Should've posted this in GDD I think
. Mods if you can move this please do. Thanks.

I would have asked them why they needed to inspect the car before reinstate full coverage.
But I would honestly take out the nos and you might want to think about at least putting in the rear seat.

I did ask her and I guess that all Insurance companies (in MA anyway) do this. I'm guessing you could if you wanted to get full coverage on a car that's smashed and then claim it and have them fix it. Makes sense. I'm just worried they are going to think I'm some street racing punk and drop my ***.

Hmmm I would at least hide or take out the nos bottle and put in your rear seats; they shouldn't drop you if you have a legal interior as most are ignorant about engine swaps or anything else like that.

technically they cannot just drop you. you need to do something wrong or illegal first, or someone in your family does on the same policy. i would definitely ditch the nos. the rollbar they can actually allow because its for safety, but they dont like harnesses. make sure your seatbelts and all that are still there though, and put in your backseats and belts too. my dad is an insurance agent and told me you should be fine with this, but were not sure about some ins. laws in ma. im in pa. hope i helped ya. good luck man
* also nitrous is legal to have in your car, just as long as it isnt hooked up. the lines and noids should be fine and all. but do remove the bottle. this is true in pa, i dunno about ma.*

they need look at the car to see if there is any previous damage to it. just like if you were to buy new insurance they inspect if the car already has damage on so you cant claim previous damage.
in the state of nj, if you put full coverage on anything, you must submit photos or have an adjuster come out and take pics of your car, they say it helps prevent fraud. funny thing though cuz its jersey and i have never heard of anything being investigated for fraud. but thats just jersey, prolly the samething where your at.
