h22a1 / f22b2 swap block question
hi i know this may sound noob to all you automotive gurus here, but i need to know will the timing belt assembly, like the gears and stuff from an f22b2 fit on an h22a1? im not talking about the cam gears im talking about the three small toothed gears that run the timing belt . I have allready searched this forum and accordingly done with no threads on this. I allready know that the timing belt itself is longer on the h22a1 but are the gears that run them any differnt? And if so where can i get these gears at a good price. I have a h22a1 block with pistons and rods im going to have it sleeved for boost but i want to get all the small block parts and little stuff first befor i go diving into an expensive project like building an h22 for boost. Also are there any sensors that need to be on the block? i keep hearing about a vtps on the block whats that?
One more thing i my be wrong don't flame me lol.
But i have a 94 accord lx and it is obd1 i think and the h22a1 block i have came from a 92-96 prelude is that obd1 as well? If it is will i have to go threw all the horrible stuff i hear about my car not passing inspection ect i mean id they are both obd1 then it shouldnt be a big problem. Would it be better if i got the entire harrness for an h22a1 and used it insted of jerry rigging my old accord one?
Thanks for anyone that helps i love this forum it's very informative

do you have both gears? if so, just put them side by side and see for yourself...i've never seen both timing belts side by side, so i dunno...you may be able to go to the honda dealer and have them tell you...they could compare them for you...
