I just put on my Y1 tranny. Everythings hooked up but my VTEC won't engage because my speedometer cable isn't plugges in (speed sensor?) does the crx hf speedo cable fit? anyone know one that fits the y1 with no problems?

 

Does the Y1 use a cable or electronic VSS?

 

it has a spot for cable and it also has a a wire thats hanging ...not sure if thats vss?

dont have a digi cam atm....the tranny doesn't look different at all except the serial number..someone told me to try and pop it in while the wheels are moving because it might not be aligned?

 

If you are in doubt...go out and get a USDM integra speedo assembly and use that one instead. Or use it as a comparison at least.

My HF cable fit in my S1 but it was alittle too short and eventually broke after a couple months. Teg speedo cable is the way to go... not sure about the wire you speak of... oem vss is mechanical unless someone swapped a newer vss (electrical) in its place.
