Shift Boot

Does anyone know how to reattach the shift boot to the shift ****? There is no way i can get it on just by forcing it.

Is it for an EK? I have that same problem. I was able to reattach it okay with the original ****, but I had to buy another one. It's impossible to friction-fit the boot over the new ****. I oiled everything up, squeezed the base of the **** with pliers, everything. Nothing worked. I just left it disconnected.

My brother suggested maybe heating up the **** a little to make it pliable, but I haven't tried it.

not that hard, then put a rubber washer on the shifter to hold up the boot
