How to take Crank Pulley off?

Default How to take Crank Pulley off?

I just got my jdm h22 and i can't figure out how to take the damn crank pullley off? Currently the enigne is out of the car and i need to replace the timing belt and water pump. i don't have a clue about how to do this, can someone please help!!!

You can either use an impact wrench or buy a crank pulley holder and use a BIG breaker bar to get the crank pulley bolt off.

If you use the search, you can find a lot of the answers you're looking for there. Check the FAQ theres a how to on changing your auto tensioner to the h23 manual tensioner. Throw away the h22 auto tensioner as it is utterly CRAP.

the crank pully holder tool works while the motor is IN the car. When its out of the car id say a crazy impact wrench should spin it off. Its gonna be hard as **** with the motor out of the car without air tools.

Use a crank pulley holder and a breaker bar with extension to get the crank pulley bolt off. Brace the holder against the ground and stand on the breaker bar. It'll take it right off.
