Whats a b18b(R)? If you do blow it up you will still need your cable tranny. Then you could buy a gsr long block and obd0 to obd1 conversion and put the gsr and cable tranny together.

Why would you blow up a perfectly good b16a1? if your going to blow up engines, go with a junkyard one. You probably wont blow it up unless you truely treat your car like **** or there is something seriously wrong internally

I agree you should go around just blowing up perfectly good JDM SIR motors thats just a waste. you know there are lots of people that are diing to get there hands on one of those motors but don't have enough money and your just going to go and blow yours up. you should ba ashamed of yourself.

Just thinking way in advance, huh? lol, some people are hard on cars but it's good that you've come to terms with it and are planning for the 2nd swap already.

To answer your question, you can use the head and tranny from the B16 swap on any B18x shortblock.
