Air Fuel Gauge gone wack - WTF?
HT...
Car is running fine and everything is normal, i go into KFC to eat with some friends.
I come back out and start my car and my AF gauge is wayy wack, i know its not accurate without a wideband, but it dosent look like this..
I made a quick picture of what it looks like in photoshop,
You guys know how the normal AF gauge is, it dances around, well mine used to.. it is now split in like 2 and locked.. doesnt move???

any suggestions on wtf is going on?
thanks
EDIT: ok it now doesnt work at all.. ideas?

could be the case but its been a year with no problems, and one wack night
so pretty sure thats not the case

If it uses the LM3916, which just about all of these narrowband a/f gauges use, then the chip is probably bad.
All the thing does it take a voltage (0-1v in the case of the O2 sensor) and light up the LED's - so if more than one light is lit up (and its in dot display), then the chip is probably bad.

Maybe it's time for a new oxygen sensor?
Maybe the sensor is shorting?
Why don't you measure the voltage you get at the sensor and then at the gauge and see if there's any difference between the two and if they're within the spec...
could also be a bad gauge but i would first check your O2 sensor...
