Hi, im a new one and i hope to stay in the community!!!! anyways i just picked up a 91 integra gs. it has the B18A1 and my problem with the car is that it will idle great (most of the time) and if you gradually bring up the rpm your good... but if you try to actually put it in gear and go it bogs out like it is not getting enough gas or too much... it also back fires in the exhaust once in awhile... i put new plugs, wires, and distributor on it.... when i bought it it had this problem... ONCE in a GREAT WHILE you can actually drive it and it will GO!!!! but after about a min. of that it is back to bogging and running like SH**!!! ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!!

 

Bad ground maybe.

The guy I bought my 90 teg from said that the car would also bog and was not driveable. The removed the cat and it was bad so they gutted and the car ran great after that. I don't recommend gutting your cat if it is bad.

 

Does your "check engine" light ever turn on when this happens?
