Default ZC DOHC OR A B16A1

i want to swap either a b16a1 or a zc dohc into my 88 honda crx dx wich would run better stock wise?

Stock vs. stock in the same vehicle the b16a will be faster. It produces more hp and more torque. However, the b16a is much more expensive than the zc. Therefore, for the same price the zc can be faster than a b16a. However, imo the b16a is a better platform to start with if money is not a factor.

thats a dumb question, of course b16, but if ur gonna do b16, might as well get an ls block and do lsvtec

Unless he plans on passing smog in california.

EDIT: There is also no such thing as a dumb question. Even though if he researched it he would have found the answer himself. But I guess he is using honda-tech as a research tool, which many people do.

unless he uses a aftermarket block i dont see this happening. plus how do you know this man knows how to do a build with this much magnitude?

It's not the block that goes out on most lsvtecs so I dont know what you're talking about.

LS-V depends on the person who does it. horror stories comes from people who took short cuts. I have seen a few ls-v stilling running after a year, and B18C with turbo blow. It's all how you do it.
