less rotating mass, allows your engine to rev faster. Same idea as a lightened flywheel, as far as I know.
If you want less rotating mass, remove your crankshaft.
I mean how much weight are you seriously saving on the pulley? Why not just swap flywheels?

a few lbs. theyre cheap, i figured i'd give it a try. its amazing what difference just a few lbs can make though... and I am swapping flywheels as well. every little bit helps
