Default 7 psi from turbo?

I am looking to hit 12's in my 04 SI... it's a 5 speed and I got drag radials, full exhaust, and intake... You think a turbo running 7psi could get me where I need to be for high hoping for a high 12? Turbo or S/C... whatever works better on these motors.

there are too many other factors, what kind of turbo, are you just using a kit or building your engine too. You'll need pistons, rods, injectors, sleeved block, EMS and 7 psi isent alot so you'll need more of a plan than that

Nah, just a turbo kit. It would be 7 psi on a turbo, intake, and turbo back exhaust... thats it. Stock internals... oh yea and BFG DR's

12's I think is kinda pushing it maybe high 13's. Thats still pretty fast. Rev-Hard makes some pretty quilty kits.

he speaks of the truth. i still doubt with a k20a2 and 7psi will get him into 12's...

if he is shooting for 12's..he needs to run a lot more than 7psi and that is going to require a sleeve piston rods job..

There are some boosted DC5s and EP3s that run in the 12s with stock internals (check crsx and ephatch). Mind you, this is at well above 7 psi....

even if he had the k20a2 on 7psi, it won't yeild 12's. I was running 10psi and was getting 301whp and 255wtq on my k20a3 in the si. I couldn't hit a 12 due to traction...even with lsd. I was hitting 13.3@110mph. Hit a 13.4@113mph once also. The mph was there, the 60fts and 1st to 2nd shift were a big traction loss.

What kind of boost can an 04 Si run off a Turbo/Supercharger safely?

My friends "Claims" that his friend with his 04 SI ran a 12.3 with nothing done except, intake, exhaust, and turbo boosting to 10 psi... 3 runs then BOOM... but 12.3? Man that seems shady to me.

the Si's can probably run more boost than the typeS's. we've had typeS's run at 15psi on stock internals. most ppl don't try to push it and run their own typeS's at 10-12psi.
