Default strange noise from bell housing??

So my car makes a squeaking/ticking noise...
it seems to be coming from my transmission, not sure.
It goes away when i push in the clutch and i only seem to hear it at idle.

Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Its a b16 swapped 97 coupe with a type-r lsd tranny and a 6 puck clutch if it helps any...

Thanks

lube the shaft that the release bearing rides on, and it should go away...

if you pull the slave cylinder off along with the rubber boot that covers the clutch fork you can get in there with a long paint brush and brush some grease on the shaft. then press the clutch pedal a few times. should cure it.

One of the mainshaft bearings in the transmission, most likely input shaft bearing but it could be any of them. Don't drive on it, because eventually the bearing explodes and destroys your tranny. This could be in a few weeks, or few months, it depends on how bad it is. I'd look into getting it replaced soon. It got louder and louder for me, and so I finally just broke down and did it myself.
