Are 96-98 and 99-00 civic mirrors the same?

I just got a mirror off a 98 civic...and it dosent fit at the bottom. The bottom of the mirror is a bit different than my 2000 mirror?

odd! I just put on a set of mirrors that were on a 99-00 si on my 98 ex.

damn im not sure what the hells up. everything almost fits perfect except the bottom has like half an inch gap.

I didn't think of suggesting that... but that sounds like the problem.
Coupe/HB mirrors are different than sedan mirrors.
