well I would say tuning is your best friend and make sure you do alot of research before you jump into anything, if you have the money get a full race kit
00 itr with a jrsc @ 10 lbs.

I bet you searched to get that.
My boosted R makes 0 HP. Well, that's a lie, but it is mostly out of commission.
Haleiwa-Brando's R is has a killer setup. He makes 0 HP in much more style than me. His car definitely has 0 HP, no engine to be specific.
Here's my last setup.

It has one of the best spool-up times that I've see on a dyno sheet. 200 ft-lbs of torque at 4K RPM.
My new setup is a GT2871R turbo (even smaller). JE Pistons/Eagle rogs. Everything else is the same as before.

Last dyno I made 400hp and 285lbs tq. Boost is good. Tuning will be your best friend and the key to reliablility. If your just looking for a boost in low end tq then go for the Jackson Supercharger, they are great.

I blew up a boosted r because I was stupid and the greddy blue box sucks ***. Up side, built a dart block.
If u do boost an r make sure to have it tunned or it wont last long.

What the frick? Your giving away my trade secrets! How am I supposed to pull the sheets over everyone's eyes with my 'supposed' turbo monster when you let everyone and their brother know that I really have gerbals under the hood? Well now, I'm sure the engine bay is full of mice and dust bunnies.
Back to the issue at hand, heed the advice of many and pay someone WELL EXPERIENCED to tune the car ON A DYNO.

Superchargers are fun too... Not to overkill what the other are saying, whether you are NA, Turbo, or supercharged just get tuned for reliability sake.
