Tried to install VAFC...Check engine light on... no CEL..???
My friend was trying to install a vafc on his prelude and when he put the ignition switch on the check engine light was on and we checked for CELs and none came up...what coul be happening here because he took out the vafc (didn't splice any wires so the cables are intact) and the caro won't start now. Can somebody tell me what could be wrong?
you did something to the ecu while you were installing the vafc.. no cel blinks = ecu problem
maybe you didnt put all the wires together or something

So he took out the VAFC harness and try to start the car without VAFC? Did he reconnect all the wire that he cut from the ECU. Because when installing VAFC, you have to cut VTEC selonoid signal output, and Pressure signal output wires.

Hey, I just talked to one of my friend about this problem. I remember he had same problem b4. Check engine light on constantly, no code, no spark, no fuel. He figured out because the Map sensor wire got grounded somewhere. He fixed the problem. Make sure your buddy reconnected all the ECU wires good. Tape them up good also.
