Default To thouse with Zeals....

I'm looking into getting a nice set of coilovers, however i confused as to what spring rates to get. Every one says its your own person preference. Well thats fine, but what I'm wonder is if I can switch the front springs to the rear and what not. That way I can play around with having harder springs in the front for a while, then switch them to the rear and see which I like better. Thanks for the help.

I have the Function S, and the springs (F/R) look identical.

However, the standard spring rate on the higher end Zeals is 12/8, which means if you used the front springs in the back, you'd be running a spring rate of 672 ft/lbs.

I was thinking of getting s6's with 10k front and 8k rear. Does that sound ok with a 26mm rear bar? I'll probably end up buying multiple sets of springs till I find ones I like, I just wanted to get as close as possible to start so I don't end up with 8 sets of springs. Anybody know the going rate of just the springs?

You should probably ask Ben @ AJR (AJPwR) for his input

I prefer getting linear front and progressive rear. We're talking about 8K to 10K in the rear, which is about twice as stiff as stock. So having progressive rear would avoid unexpected oversteer caused by imperfections on the track.

But if you're gonna do that, you won't be able to switch springs front and rear.

Can someone point me to the official site or an online store so I can get a better idea of what these springs look like? I'll be getting a pretty good amoune back from taxes(hopefully), and trying to figure out if I should swap out the block or work on the suspension. I'd really like to see these springs, I had it down to Teins or Truchoice, but I would like to see these before I make my choice. Any help on this would be great

Ive got a question about the Zeal B2...
-i heard that zeal b2 are rebound and compression adjustable but both are controlled with the same control.
-zeal doesnt offer revalving.
-they only offer 2 spring settings. (F.10k R. 6k for street and F.12k R.8k for hard settings)

Right now Im leaning towards some custom Eibach ERS springs 350 / 400 with a set of koni yellows. they are rebound and compression adjustable with there own controls and they offer revalving.

Anybody got any input on my assesments. This setup is for a 2000 Honda Civic Si.

tell...

ZEAL offers different categories of coil-overs system so why you need to re-valve them ? If they offer re-valving according to customer spec then they wont release different types of suspension.

The damper is compression and rebound adjustable like the Konis.

Konis + ERS is a good idea but piston of the damper is BIG difference if you compare to the Zeals. The Zeal B/B2 offers 38mm piston vs Konis 32mm?? 35mm?? Bigger pistons are used for better absorbing power.

If you wanted a set of suspension for race or hard driving B/B2 will not be your option so I will suggest you to go B6 or Super Function but for street / Auto-X then I will suggest you to go B/B2.
