i put another z6 in yesterday and it starts up on the 1st try but i get the dreaded high idle. i put on a y8 manifold also. searched last night and tried all of what i found. the fitv fix and eavc cleaning. i hear mad air sucking and i suspect it to be at the tb which i plan to change the gasket on tomorrow. what i'm asking is the tourque specs on the manifold are 22 ft lbs. do you seem to have to tighten beyond that? i hear air sucking at the manifold also. i haven't yet sprayed carb cleaner to see where it's leaking i plan on doing that tomorrow also. i have an idle of about 3k and after driving it began surging from 500 to 3k. car drives normal but the minute i'd push the clutch in it would surge. i took the intake tube off and covered the tb with my hand and the surging stops but idle is still high. anyways a long *** post to ask if you guys have had to tourque the intake manifold beyond 22?
