throw-out bearing
If it seizes then you'll be stuck in whatever gear you are in.
The usual sign of a bad bearing is a slight squealing noise when idling in neutral with your foot of the clutch. As soon as you press on the clutch the noise goes away.

what i'm experiencing is.....when i press and hold the clutch down and put it into any gear, there's a squealing/whiring/grinding sound. if i release the clutch a little it goes away.
also, now i cant put the car into any gear, and if i do force it into gear and presss in the clutch to shift, the rpms doesnt drop for about 2 seconds then it drops slowly.
is a seized throw-out bearing causing problem?
