Default wiring up an external coil

Okay im trying to wire up the external coil on my h22. Im using the dizzy ready for the external coil and using a aftermaket coil. The two wire plug on the dizzy is the one that the coil wires come from i belive. There is a blue wire and a black and yellow wire. I believe the blue goes to the power on the coil and the black and yellow wire goes to the ground on the coil. Could anyone confirm this for me. Also do you have to cut the wires from the plug or just splice into them. Thanks
Brian
