When I had a msd blaster coil, I used terminals to stick into the connectors
and ran extra wire to the coil and soldered the connection there.
This way you don't have to splice the connector.

The black with yellow stripe and solid yellow wires both go to the positive.
The blue wire goes to the negative on the coil.

i am taking th coil out of my h22 dizzy and hooking up the external coil so that i can get some spark. should i run the wires that are in the dizzy that origionally went to the internal coil to the external coil as if it were the same as the internal coil? or do i only need to run the negative wire back into the dizzy and hoook the positive of the coil right to the connector that the stock coil went to. this sounds kinda confusing... all i want to know is from the origional external coil connector where do i run the three wires to?
