What COULD the problem BE? alignment, suspension, etc????
Hey guys,
I recently got into a fender bender. The car in front slammed the brakes and to avoid her I went to the right side of the road, but there wasn't enough space to clear the car, and the fender took the hit...pictures at:

I was probably going 10 mph or less when I hit her. So its repair time
I think I can replace the fender and get it painted but the problem is the steering...
When I drive now, to make the car go straight, the steering wheel is no longer in the middle (centered at 12 oclock) but its turned to 2 oclock....The car doesn't make any noise when I drive it but I feel its a little lower on driver side (the accident-fender side)....it doesn't handle like it used to...
Also, when the steering wheel is centered at 12 oclock, then the passenger side tire looks fine and straight, but the damaged driver side, the tire very slightly pointing out, thus caus' me to compoensate with moving the steering wheel to 2 oclock to make the car continue to go straight..... if there is additionaly info you need let me know...PLEASE I NEED HELP
If alignment for $70-80 will fix it then I will pay someone to fix the alignment and then do the body work myself.
BUT if I need to replace other suspension components (control bars, etc), then I will get everything done by a dealership and go through insurance....
What could the problem be? Will alignment fix the problem? What would you do, go through dealership or do the work yourself??? Because if I drop the $80 dollars on alignment and then find out that the control arm needs to be reaplced, I lose the $80 and then have to go through insurance....
