What are you asking?

Will the EX transmission bolt onto the DX block? Yes.

Can you bolt an EX gear cluster into a DX case? Absolutely not.

The DX/CX trannies have large bearing cases, the EX has a small bearing case. The cases/gears are not interchangable.

dang, i retract my previos statement, once again bauley reigns supreme on d-series. so i guess this is like a j1 tranny having smaller bearings then the LS or any hydro?

I guess...

According to bone you can switch them around, if you change certain bearings and re-shim the mainshaft...but who really wants to do that?
