how do you check that youa re getting a spark
and how do you check for fuel pressure?

 

well you can check for spark by pulling a spark plug, put it back in the wire, hold it to the valve cover and see if you can see a little spark when someone turns the engine over.(do with #1 spark plug)

the fuel, you can check if you turn the key to the on position you should hear a noticable noise, when the check engine light comes on, that is the fuel pump priming. when the check engine light goes off, the sound should end.

 

there should also be a thing that looks kinda like a tire valve with a cap like a tire valve and just push it down that will tell you if u have fuel pressure

 

this tire valve looking thing, where is it located? or do you happen to have a picture.. thanks for thelp you guys, my car just shut off while i was driving and wont turn back on so i am trying to pin point the problem
