Default Having Trouble Starting in 1st

I've owned my '97 RS since November of last year, and I'm STILL having some trouble. I taught myself manual (on a 1993 Mazda Miata ), and I had no problems starting in first from a stand still.

For some reason in the Integra, I just CAN'T get it down. I've tried everything I can think of. I'm decent (at least what I think) when upshifting/downshifting to other gears, but 1st from a stand still is a killer. Please don't flame as no one around is willing to teach me . The only Teg owner around me is a guy with an ITR, but he's working all the time.

Basically I'm jumpy out of first from a standstill, and it's not smooth at all. It doesn't come easily to me. Any help would be much appreciated!

try sliping the clutch more "letting out slower" until you can find the sweet spot were it engages, is your clutch stock oem spec. because if its a racing clutch with a higher clamp load it can be pretty tricky to get a smooth engagement.

give it a lil gas maybe up to 1000-1500 rpms and ease of the clutch . Then she'll start moving once she starts moving just give it more gas and your let the clutch out. When i first got my teg i would sit on level ground and ease the clutch out til the car started to creep forward (not using the gas) just to get a feel for when it engaged. Just play with it you'll get it.

I'm still on the stock clutch as of right now. The car is completly stock (right down to the OEM hubbies , I'm gonna put on some "R" parts I got in one big clump). I'll take it to a vacant parking lot and try your guys advice.

I don't know why it's such a problem. Once in a while I do it alright, but I'm so damn inconsistant.

does the clutch feel "good" and you just cant get it down. or does the pedal feel iffy.
