wisconsin emissions
I just recently bought a 94 GSR. I had to get my emissions tested so I went there to get it done. Everything checked out but I failed because my intake filter wasn't covered. I had to pop my hood and they had to check obviously my intake because they failed me for that. In all the times I had emissions done I never had to pop my hood. I have to go back today, I put on my buddies stock intake so I can get passed, otherwise my car is illegal tomorrow
well turns out i passed, so everything went alright. I'm surprised they don't have it out there, considering it is the capitol and all but whatever. yah its nice out here, don't mind it at all.
well see the thing is, apparently my car was to low or something, so they had to do something else to check it which apparently made me pop my hood for them to inspect something. i don't see why the filter had to be covered, doesn't make sense but ah well.
Glad you passed.
Which station did you go to? I went to the one near Rawson Ave and the guy was being a *****. He couldn't find a place to strap down my car on the AWD dyno (I have a 90 Talon), so he does an idle test and checks under the hood. My K/N filter failed me. I went home, threw in the aircan, drove back in about 10 minutes, had them look it over and sign it off. Dumb....but you gotta jump through the hoops.
BTW, you didn't hear this from me, but if you flash the guys up on the 76th/Good Hope station a $20-$50, they'll pass you.

register your car up north. It takes less time to register it up north then it does to get emission tests. They don't even ask for proof. Just find a small town and the county it's in and tell them you keep your car there and your done, no emissions ever again. especially useful for those of us who never have hope of passing emssion with our cars. My car is registered in Onieda county, even though I don't think I've ever been there. Work the system

when i took my integra for emissions by the hwy 100 one when i first got it, they were obsessed with my car and told me i should mod it a ton and just register it up north at jefferson county...They dont even check for proof. So easy to bull **** the wisconsin dmv.
Finest: I have also heard about that to at the rawson place. My coworker knew sombody that had failed and asked if they would say he passed if he give them 30 bux and they said ok. Stupid emissions.

yah i got mine done in waukesha, closest to my house. anyways yah i heard of people paying to get passed, but i always figured they were joking.
my friend told me to get my car registered up north as well, that's what he did with his camero, since it will never pass emissions. but since i passed i don't have to worry about that, well i have to get it done again in august cuz my plates expire but then maybe ill take it up north.

no, you dont need to take it up north. All you need to do is go to the dmv and register it up north at like adams county or jefferson county. They dont even ask for proof that you live their, just tell them it is going to be stored their. Then...NO EMISSIONS!!!!!
ya the best idea is to register you car up north so you dont have any but my car passed with an intake, intake manifold, and muffler they said it passed with flying colors so ya
