Default Good price for a d16z6 head

I searched but the only topic that came up was one from 2002 that went unanswered.

I'm looking at a semi-built head from a z6 that has port and polish on both intake and exhaust side also newer OEM honda valvetrain (used for a few hundred miles) and a Zex stage 2 camshaft. It doesnt include the solenoid but I found one for 34 bucks and it looks to not include the cover. What would yall pay for this? And what else would be needed to make it fully built? Im readin and learnin as I go so bear with me here please.

Thanks
Randy :D

it might be hard to find a head with a cam and stock valvetrain.

a completely stock head is worth like aobut 150 bucks or so, then add the cost of all the extra work you want done.

id say you'd be looking between 500 and maybe 700

Between $500-$700 for the head mentioned above?? Or to finish the head mentioned above? Your reply confused me.

think of it this way, retail... zex cam 200, head 150, new springs/retainers/valves from honda (hella expensive) your looking at around 500 bucks at least, of course i would never pay that, 250 maybe, but i would rather get a head and build it myself with aftermarket springs/retainers et cetera and make a much stronger head...

and to make it fully built, you would need brass valve guides, stainless valves, titanium retainers, dual valve springs, adjustable cam gear, crazy *** cam, full port and polish, 5 degree valve job, i think thats it, but its not cheap...

For the head above I would pay around 200 dollars for it. Even though it has aftermarket work done to it, you never know who installed and port and polished it and the quality of the work. I have seen stock heads going for 70 dollars or so.
