I'm building a GSR (all motor) motor and I'm not sure what I want to put it into yet but I was just wondering if I should go with OBD I or OBD II. My friend has a P73 I was thinking about buying and obviously thats OBD II (2001 ITR).

i would go with obd1, more ease for your tuner. i hope your gonna get it tuned too

 

yeah just go OBD1, now a days its too easy not to;better for tuning. Dont know what year your car is but if its 92-95(obd1) just swap the engine harness off the Type R for a OBD1 harness and buy a obd2 to obd1 conversion harness. And wait a minute, are you building a allmotor GSR or just going with the Type R. Anyway make sure you do your research before you commit to anything, good luck.

 

yea im building a GSR and possibly thinking about putting a P73 from a ITR in it. Obviously iI would have to run OBD II, but I dont know if thats what I should do. I dont have a car to drop the motor in yet, so Im just trying to see what would be the best computer for the motor an then buy either a OBD I or OBD II car to drop the GSR into.

I also plan on tuning it no matter what it is.
