well i have a zc swap...runs really good.....
im planning to get a zex kit from a friend for a good price....do you think my zc will be good with nos? or can it even stand up with nos? how long do you think the motor will last with nos? (used once in a while...not a whole lot...)

My friend shoots nitrous on his zc at the track and sometimes on the street on his zc. It has held up fine with the 50 shot that he is using. He also has a fuel regulator and a set of colder spark plugs. HTH
i squeezed 60 shot in my crxzc for a year with no problems BTW it was a NOS dry system. id smoke gsr's with i/h/e by 5-6 cars.
thought you would also like to know that its still running even though i was a nitrous junky.

I think it really all depends on the age and condition of the internals of the motor. Of course also, proper tuning has a big effect on it aswell. If it's done properly there shouldn't be any problems.
There is also a ruel of thumb to go by (not always true) half of your total power is what you should spray and nothing more. So, 160 HP b16a can take an 80 shot, so i think a 60 or 75 is safe.
Just my .02 cents.

I Think that any motor will hold up the nitrous prety good if you "build" your motor for nitrous. I would not squeeze on a stock ZC(or any motor). try to check if the sell nitrous Cams for the ZC. But if you build the motor right, it should hold on for a long time.

a healthy motor should be able to handle 50-60 shots of n2o stock without any problems at all...just dont go over board...
You'll blow the welds on the intake man. LOL I had to say it. But you should be ok with the 50 shot. I was thinkin about getting a Zex kit but I like the idea of the turbo always being there.
just keep fuel in it thats all i can say, the best way to find out that you were running too lean is when the whole thing goes boom. so get an air/fuel meter and fpr, or a kit liek the venom kit that automatically cuts nitrous when it detects you are running too lean.
these kinda questions pop up everyday they just pic another engine. i would even put nitrous on there if you want an engine to stay in good condition. some people haven't had any problems but others have like a couple people i know. i would not even put it 0on the car but if ya did i am going to go with the rest of the crowd and say 50
