**** ALREADY SEARCHED..... oily spark plugs
Ok guys bear with me on this one. I know this question has been beated to death but as I searched i did not find my answer.
I changed out my spark plugs & I found oil all over them (on the electrode, not the connector rode end) So what I figured was just simply replace the valve cover gasket, spark plug tube gasket, & metal gromets. #3-4-9
However the kit came with 4 other gaskets that I didnot know were they are suppose to go. After the install I notice that I still had oil on the spark plugs

<FONT COLOR="green"> I searched and found out that the "other" O shaped gasket that came with the kit; that I did not install might require me to take off my cam & rocker assymbly.
For anyone that has replace these O style gasket please tell me how hard, long it takes to do it. TIA

I'm thinking the extra O style gasket i have is # 19.
the question is how do I install them?
how long does it take?
Do i have do re-do my timing?

I drive this car a lot, city & long distance travel. On a typicall month I could easly put 3,000 miles on it. The car is an auto & I realy beat on it. Motor is JDM with around 70k on it by now.
I did a compression check not to long ago (4-5months) and got 155psi all across.
Also no blue or white smoke from the tail pipe

I assume you know the difference between oil leaking into the sparkplug tube; as opposed to oil in the combustion chamber & on the firing tip...
I haven't had to do this yet, but you have to take off the camshaft bearing caps & replace those O-ring underneath them. That means the rockers & everything comes off. I think you might be able to leave the camshaft itself laying there.
Dowels #21, 22 set the caps' alignment when you put them back on. But get bolt torques & tightening sequence for the caps. Then adjust your valve lash when you're done.
ps... When you replaced the ring seals in the valve cover, did you look at the mating surfaces for nicks & scratches?

Most likely cam tower o-rings, the ones under the rocker assembly. Mitchell time for an accord with a/c is 3.9 hrs flat rate. You have to remove the cam and rocker assembly, install the seals and the reassemble and adjust the valves.

Not to be a dick but what part of having oil in the spark plug tubes makes it sound like it's burning oil?

because the way i understood it was that it was on the electrode: "on the electrode, not the connector rode end"
if there is oil on the electrode, there is oil in the combustion chambers... if there is oil in the combustion chambers, he's burning it every time that cylinder fires
thus he's burning oil

Is it just running down there when you remove the plugs? You should be able to tell the difference by looking for oil laying down in the tubes before you remove the plugs.
Or maybe this whole thing was wrong, & you should be looking at rings or valve-stem-seals instead...

that make sence but it's much more than that. If my rings were bad YES i would have oil in my CC but majority of the oil blowby would be burnt up causing a flaky stuff on the spark plug.
