ABS to Non-ABS Question (not what ya think, lol)
Aight well I started the conversation got all the stuff out, have all the other hard lines, BB & MC and than I said forget changing all that, at my work we have little 12 inch brake lines which I can bend to work since I only need 6 inches if that.... anyway, i have the 2- 3/16 adaptors to connect the lines but I need to know what that one fat line size is to go from that to 3/16, i got a 1/4 thinking that was it but wasn't, wondering if anyone happens to know. Thanks

ummm I don't get it... you're going to bend short pieces of hard line and attach them to your original hard lines to try to make them reach the new MC or something? Doesn't sound like the best idea to me. You said you already have all the stuff, just change it out.
You can't use your stock lines anyway, not one bit of it. The stock system w/ ABS has all of its hard lines running through the ABS system. The ABS system serves to proportion the brake bias, as there is no separate proportioning valve. When you remove the ABS system, you have to swap in new lines that run from the MC, to the prop valve, and straight to the brakes. The stock lines run from the MC, to the ABS pump, and then the brakes.

Ok, just so its clearer, I only need like 6 inches to reach the prop. valve, the ABS lines end just short to use those the way they are. I read somewhere I can use the ABS BB & MC w/ lines just gotta add extensions, I just can't find the post for my butt. Anyway, I ran the RS Hardline for the right wheel already the smallest one, I only need the other 3 just to reach the prop valve, I can get the 2 no problem (from left wheel and front of MC) the other line with the bigger fitting I need to bring down to the 10mm size but dont know what size that is for the correct fitting. I hope its clearer. You got PM too Pat

so you are using the RS lines? And you're mounting the prop valve in the location where it's supposed to go on the firewall? And you're just trying to get these to work w/ your original master cylinder, is that right?
Nah, on DA's they're over on the right strut tower under the hood. I was gonna use the RS lines but changed my mind. I need 3 union adaptors, 2 - M10 x 1.0 & 1 - M12 x 1.0 and I can't find them anywhere and need em ASAP. Let me know whats up if anyone knows where to get them
