Default Help with boost settings, help a honda brother out

ok here is the setup.

95 d16z6
95 si tranny Q LSD
intake manifold is ported to 60mm with 60mm TB and runners gasket matched
apexi turbo manifold
apexi turbo internal wastegate
apexi DP
2.5 exhaust all the way 18in resornator, twin loop axle back
2.25 from turbo to intercooler
2.5 from intercooler to TB
JRC 5in intercooler
hks bov
dsm 450cc
uberdata
ngkbrke7 plugs

ok so here is my problem or issue. i have the wastegate set at 6psi right now, it goes to 6psi then at 6k it will go up .5 psi in 2nd 1.5psi in 3rd. i want to run 10psi so i got a turboxs standard boost controller. so i put it on and i turn the thign like 18 full turns and i get to about 8psi and it still jumps that little bit at 6k or so.....and it says 1 full turn should be about 1psi well this thing is not working right i know that. so i guese i'm asking what else i can try or what do i need to do.

i have the wastegate line to the turbo so its not to the manifodl it reads right from the turbo. should i move it to the manifold?

i really dont wnat to pull my downpipe and port my flapper and then if i port it will my flapper be to small?, and if so i dont think i can find oen that will fit my apexi turbo.

also this mornign i pulled the controller off caus eit had some oil on it and i had no idea what it was from, bothe the vac lines had no oil on them or the wastegate and or turbo did not have oil. it was on the round top of the controller. just more info for you guys.

any help is great THANKS

kevron

Ditch the internal wastegate and get a tial external wastegate. I have had nothing, but problems with my internal wastegate trying to boost more than 10psi. Internal wastegates just suck.

ok so i got the boost controller to work at 10psi but then at 6k it falls off to 8psi? what should i look for? or is it just common with internal wastegate and the standard boost controller

Like everyone else is saying, just buy a Tial wastegate and get rid of the internal. You will be better off and not have any spiking. You can get them for a good price and every now and again there is someone selling one cheap on here
