Default posting for a buddy, AEM BIG BRAKE KIT HELP

okay so we installed an aem big brake kit on my buddies 93 civic cx hatchback with h22a motor.

its the kit with the 12" rotors, 4 piston calipers yaddy yadda

anyways, we had to get integra ls spindles to make eveyrthing work, okay so np we got that all good to go, and then we put it all together, he has 17" konig traffik wheels and guess what the calipers dont clear, okay so he orders a brand new set of h&r wheel studs and spacers, we put that **** on, now the caliper barely clears the rim, but our problem now is the tires are sitting like way out (and by way out i mean way the **** out)

he took it to an alignment shop, they are saying 3 hours on the laser alignment machine and now we might need the integra upper control arms too and a camber kit? does anyone know if this is truth or what

somebody must have installed a big brake kit on a hatchback

thansk guys

What did you put the brake kit on it for? You dont need it really. Plus the kit specifically says that you have to use 17" wheels at a minimum, and even all of those wont work. I say sell the kit, keep the integra spindles and get some good rotors and pads. You will stop fine.

It was my understanding that integra and eg arms were identical.

The knuckles are different. The ones from any 92-95 EX or SI are the same as any 94+ integra knuckle. DC, CX, VX, LX and etc are smaller.

I said arms, not knuckles...if anyone says that information more than anyone else around here, its me (and its -00, not -95)

The size of the wheel isnt in question here, its the style of the wheel, Im guessing, thats making it not clear the caliper (which is why spacers were used).
If an eg camber kit is on there, I dont see what the problem could be. Maybe try a different place for alignment

we dont have a camber kit yet, and trust me i told my buddy 50 billion times to sell the big brake kit and buy a nice set of gsr or ls brakes woulda done fine, but he insisted on putting it on, it loosk dope though, but still doesn't work out as great as we thought, any ideas would be much appreciated, but ur saying hte upper a arms from a cx are the same as an integra?

eg and integra arms are the same
It kinda looks like the rumor of integra knuckles being taller than civic ones is true though...which is why a camber kit would be needed (for comensation)

I bought Brembo rotors and AEM brake pads and my '00 coupe stops like a champ. Big difference in braking. I say you give that a try, i am pretty positive you won't be disappointed.

he needs different set of rims with a different offset. Maybe 16's would clear them.

This is idiotic anyways, I bet you that isn't remotly near to have use for those brakes. I've seen alot of swapped cars with 9 inch brakes (not even 10 inch) owners not complaning if everything is set up right.
