Default 98 honda accord maint.

Hi.
I just had a few maintence questions. If these questions have been answered before, please link me to the thread.
This will be for a 98 honda accord v6 with 86,000 miles.
What kind of spark plugs (brand/#)
Any preventative maintnence I should know about? (like ball joints going bad at 100k, etc...)
What kind of oil are you guys using?
What brand oil filter do you guys prefer?
What brand air filter do you guys prefer?
Where is the fuel filter located?
When do the oxygen sensors go bad?
Any belts I need to replace?
Timing Chain or belt?
Does the radiator have issues past 100k?

Any other maintnence facts I should know about, please post information about it.

Thank you in advance.

I have a 2002 SE and it is the same model....pretty much anyway.
I also have two 1997 accords I work on regurlarly.
I only use Honda plugs...and they are cheap only about 3.50 for me. I use valvoline oil always...very clean...only Honda oil filter.....Fram air filters (alot cheaper and same thing)....Fuel filter is on firewall I think.....Change timing belt and water pump at 105K(water pump is optional)...change accesory belt at 105K or so....It has a timing belt not a chain.....don't forget to flush cooling system at 90K for preventative maint and also tranny fluid (Honda Brand)

Only known chronic problem known to me is weak tranny, so keep fluid clean.

For the plugs, I just use the basic plugs that the guy from Autozone give me, not the cheap ones but not the fancy ones either, I pay something like $1.50 or $2 per plug. As for the number, I use four. I recommend you put six on your car.

On the oil, I use Castrol GTX (~ $8 for 5 quarts at Wal-Mart), and I just picked up ten Honda oil filters, ~ $5.40 each online after shipping, including a new washer for the oil pan drain plug after each change. Check out http://www.hondaparts4u.com and http://www.handa-accessories.com

There's a recent thread on which oil filter to use: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1209407

For the air filter I think I used STP brand from Autozone, $10 if I remember right. Which air filter you pick isn’t that important, what is important is that you replace it when you are supposed to.

I have a 01 V6, I think the stock spark plugs are NGK platinum, I think they run about $17 each. I use FRAM and STP for air filter (about $10), but I don't know if K&N (about $40) would be better. Oil filters I heard in a previous thread that FRAM was garbage, but I used it once in awhile and STP. You should flush your coolant, but I don't know when thou, maybe before the summertime?

Don't forget about the cabin air conditioning filter...see instructions here:

http://mywebpages.comcast.net/...1.htm

Cost about $25 for a pair at handaaccessories.com or hondacuraworld.com
