Default My power steering fluid keeps leaking... I need help...

I'm too lazy to check everything my helms manual says to check so I'm hoping one of you guys have the answer...

Basically, my power steering fluid keeps leaking. The weird thing is that it only leaks down to a certain point in the reservoir. It leaks just below the FIRST hose. It never leaks past the 2nd hose, so I'm thinking where ever that first hose goes to, that's where the problem is.

The fluid will leak within a day, whether or not I even turn my car on. So if I fill the PS reservoir to MAX, and let it sit, it'll leak w/o turning on the car or using the pump in about 1/2 a day to 1 day. I notice the fluid on my driveway right in the center of the car. I think it's towards teh front of the engine bay like under the radiator or something. I also see it right under the reservoir sometimes (I have filled this thing like 1028302193 times just to drive around).

Anyway, right now I just took the ps belt off to drive around and left the fluid empty up to just below that first hose. Does anyone know where that first hose goes to and can I drive around w/o the ps belt on if it's still missing fluild down to that hose without f_cking up my rack and pinion?

Please help if you know what my problem is... BTW, I just had my rack and pinion replaced, so I know it's not that that's f_ck'd...

I had the same prob. so i said f-it. I just let the fluid drip away basically, since i wuz removing my pump anyway i didn't sweat it. As long as your rack stays lubed and plugged so that fluid stays in it shouldn't be a prob. Unless you just don't like driving without p.s. If you do i suggest you trouble shoot a little more, find where the leak is (probably a bad hose) put the belt back on and fix it.
